As this piece was going to be very creative and abstract i thought one of these best places to research and look at other creative directors/artist work was on Pintrest. I find Pintrest a mind field of wonderful ideas and inspirations that can set an idea up and give it drive. i found a lot of wonderful artist on Pintrest and looked at how they portrayed there work and colours, for example they used. None of these artist worked with prosthetics, but basically have illustrated, painted or photographed ideas i had, this meant my idea was very original.
From Pintrest i gathered a lot of images for research, i have presented screen shots of my boards, also attaching the link. ( https://uk.pinterest.com/claire6615/fmp/ )
These are only a few of the images i have gathered, some are relevant and some are just inspiring ideas that have small impact upon my project, with shapes, colours hair for example. The images that i partilcarly liked i have selected and promoted separately to show how i have came to a few of my design conclusions and where inspiration has came from, also explain why and how i have adapted them into my project.
This piece is very abstract, ash looks like it has been sculpted and created into a mahican sculpt, i really like the idea of this and the shapes and textures used, this is similar to the idea i have and how to shape my prosthetic around the body and face.
This image doesn’t use the face as a base but the body, but what i like was the idea of how the pieces where applied and painted, i need to look at all different variations of how i want this to look, with shapes and textures. The detail in this images is beautiful and i really want this to come through in my final image produced.
i really like this image has it is not over the top, its fine, detailed and beautiful, i like that it covered only half the face and the neck/head areas, its a lot more human and looks like a makeup. i don’t like the dark colours personally to take forward, as i want this to represent flowers of spring, pastel and light.
I Found when researching Instagram was also another great way of getting not only in touch with creators but to find images and work to inspire me while i was designing and working.
